You will be working as a Senior Commercial Bid Manager in the Onshore Wind Sales and Commercial Team for North Europe (primarily covering projects in the Nordics, UK & Ireland). Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be part of the wider GE Renewable Energy Onshore Wind International business unit spanning Asia Pacific, Europe, Sub Saharan Africa and Latin America. The Commercial and Sales Operations community for North Europe is a dynamic working environment and includes Sales Team, Commercial Operations Team (Commercial and Technical Bid Managers), Services (Operation & Maintenance), Project Management and other functions, and is responsible for all bidding and commercial activities in the region.



Ideally, we would like this role to be based in the Nordics/UK/Ireland. Other EU locations will be considered with travel to the Nordics/UK as required.

**Essential responsibilities**



+ Lead cross functional bid deal teams, drive and coordinate the overall commercial and technical proposal development as part of customer procurement processes and RFPs, own the commercial aspects of the project including commercial package and' contracts preparation, and internal costing, in close cooperation and partnership with the Technical Bid Manager, the Sales Manager and extended functions such as Risk, Legal, Commercial Finance, Tax, EHS, Project Management etc.

+ Be directly responsible to independently lead contracts for sale /T&C negotiation and contract closing.

+ Support the achievement of the Teams KPIs on cash, orders and contribution margin

+ Actively participate in the development of the commercial strategy for deals under oversight, identify and capture value optimisation opportunities in order to generate winning proposals for the customer

+ Present offers to customers and lead on the drafting and negotiation of the equipment and services (operation & maintenance) contracts, including all terms and conditions, supporting documents, in English and preferably one additional northern European language.

+ Present proposal summaries incl. a commercial risk and mitigation plan to the Risk review board (R-table) and obtain management approval for all critical items of each transaction

+ Manage the hand over of the signed deals to the project management department (OTR) for successful execution

+ Participate in Quality initiatives within the Sales and Commercial Function to drive process rigor and other improvements to the overall bidding process;

+ Occasional travel to customer negotiations to be expected.

+ The role can be based in any EU location or the UK.



**Essential Qualifications**



+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

+ Experience in negotiating contracts for large energy infrastructure projects, knowledge of industry contract standards for T&Cs like FIDIC or ABA99 a strong advantage

+ Previous experience in procurement and tendering processes.

+ Fluent in English and preferably a working knowledge of an additional Northern European language

+ Experience in a Commercial or Sales function in the wind industry or other energy generation industries

+ Enthusiasm and interpersonal skills for working with customers

+ Strong process analysis, problem solving and strategy development skills

+ Ability to take decisions in the face of limited or conflicting data

+ Willingness and ability to travel and work intensively during negotiation periods

+ Good communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of organization, from peers to executive level presentations

+ Proven leadership skills in virtual project teams, can do and collaborative attitude

+ Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously

+ Dedicated to detail while keeping the bigger picture in mind

+ Calm and professional in challenging situations
