About The Role:

We are searching for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Arlington, VA. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will work in conjunction with one or more product managers on the development and delivery of products to customers. You will be responsible for understanding product and market strategies, roadmaps, and developmental change impacts and translating that understanding into product processes and requirements for product and market growth. You will provide support for operational needs of the product including, but not limited to product billing, customer onboarding, demoing, training, and customer reporting, web analytics, data analysis (product and usage) related to the product. You will answer customer questions and demonstrate products both internally and externally (on sales, onboarding/training, conference).

You will be focused on the entire product lifecycle with particular focus on the Development (activities like requirements and testing) and Launch (final testing, customer preparation, marketing/sales). You will participate in requirement development activities from concept initialization through finalized, detailed requirement documents. You will gather information and document the findings from external customers and internal stakeholders. You will participate in design, testing, and change control activities in concurrence with the project management group to ensure projects are on track to meet requirements and customer needs. You will apply your analytical and business skills to evaluate existing solutions, products and processes as well as new market opportunities in support of the ARC strategic plan. You will research internal and external best practices, improve process efficiency and identify opportunities for cost savings and user experience.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Define product requirements, and speak to the status development/launch activities.
  • Develop processes and operational requirements for customer onboarding, product fulfillment and deliver product training to customers in support of the product manager. Demonstrate the product, onboard a customer and answer customer questions with limited support from the product manager.
  • Work with Product Manager and Product Development teams on all levels (maintenance, backlog, new functionality, and new product development) of product requirements, product data quality standards, and conduct product-level analysis in support of the product.
  • Be an active participant when shaping the next product releases utilizing knowledge learned from customers, market, competitors. Be well versed on requirements and product needs to perform testing at any stage (Alpha, UAT testing).
  • Collaborate with project team members and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure a common understanding of the solution requirements and to provide a holistic picture of the initiative. Be a subject matter expert on various projects.
  • Develop and maintain all product documentation including requirements, product roadmap and changes, product processes.
  • Make internal and external product presentations, including Product Demos to customers and internal stakeholders, demonstrate knowledge of the market the product is in, how a product works, where it currently meets customers' needs and customer feedback.
  • Website analysis including identifying and tracking key performance metrics and competitive trending, creating reports, conducting A/B testing, ensuring that product websites meet web accessibility requirements.


You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 4+ years of experience with a focus on the product development, enhancement, and maintenance processes (including but not limited to Requirements Writing, Backlog Prioritization, Development/Software knowledge, Testing stages, Impact analysis, product processes, product roadmaps)
  • Data Analysis experience (both quantitative and qualitative), including Data Analysis for customer questions and solutions, marketing, operation analysis, and product data elements and how to use them, revenue/budget analysis, etc.
  • Intermediate Proficiency MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PPT Focus)
  • Understanding of agile development methodology
  • Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Expertise in user behavior analytics and A/B testing.
  • Knowledge of Web accessibility (WCAG).
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
