Individual will be required to travel to the North Wales, PA office for a certain limited period of time for training and transition through Q1 2020 [75%]; Limited domestic travel after that.

 

Job Description

 

Responsible for preparing and reviewing accounting transactions of a complex and sensitive nature.

 

Analyze and prepare other compensation and benefits journal entries including: workers compensation accruals; self-insurance health accruals; 401k/profit sharing accruals; commission accruals

 

Review and analyze ADP payroll support for completeness and accuracy. Prepare bi-weekly payroll journal entries and related accruals.

 

Work closely with the payroll department to investigate and resolve outstanding payroll related issues

 

Prepare monthly compensation and benefits account reconciliations and review supporting details to ensure proper recording of transactions to general ledger.

 

On a quarterly basis, review and analyze P&L and balance sheet activity explaining differences in account balances between periods.

 

Complete special projects as assigned by Manager with minimal supervision

 

Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to business processes to gain efficiencies and improve internal control procedures.

 

Qualifications

 

 

Bachelors Degree in Accounting.

 

3-5 years public or 4+ years general ledger related accounting experience; prior Compensation and Benefits experience a plus.

 

Working knowledge of Oracle or SAP a plus.
