Job Summary
A scientist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Brian Gold (https://sites.google.com/view/gold-cognitive-aging) to participate in NIH funded projects. This is a long-term, highly collaborative position involves participating in ongoing research on neurocognitive aging using amyloid PET and MRI methods. Specific research focuses on identifying the effects of aging, vascular pathologies and Alzheimer’s disease pathologies on distributed brain networks and cognitive performance. Job responsibilities include: analyzing PET and/or MRI data and generating summary measures using existing lab SOPs; aiding the development of new PET/MRI analysis methods; correlating PET and MRI results with biofluid measures of Alzheimer’s disease, vascular markers and neuroinflammatory markers; writing manuscripts and giving scientific presentations. This is a highly collaborative position, involving close interactions with other lab members, investigators at our MRI Center, our Sanders-Brown Center on Aging and neuroimaging colleagues at other universities.

Advanced skills and knowledge in the analysis of neuroimages; advanced statistical analysis skills; advanced skills in Unix-based coding

Preferred Education/Experience
PhD in neuroscience, psychology, engineering or related area. Two or more years of postdoctoral experience using neuroimaging is preferred.
