Ovum is the leading analyst house across converging TelecomsMedia & Entertainment and IT markets. We offer more metrics and insight across more markets, than any other provider. We are currently looking to add a Sales Specialist focused on consulting offerings to our team.

The role will be responsible for championing Ovum’s consulting offerings to clients as well as the global sales organization. Responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Achieve revenue targets by working in concert with Sales Directors to develop regional strategies to increase consulting sales.
  • Grow net new consulting business by designing sales and account plans for new prospects in the TMT industry, and leading customer conversations on consulting.
  • Maintain and grow existing consulting business by leading customer sessions, with the sales team and analysts, and demonstrating a strong understanding of customer needs and Ovum products.
  • Engage with clients in a consultative selling approach to identify consulting opportunities.
  • Serve as the sales team’s subject matter expert on consulting offering by offering training and best practices.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • A strong, consistent track record of sales success in the technology, media or telecom industry.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a consultative sales environment, ideally selling consulting.
  • A BS or BA (or higher) degree
  • Ability to succeed in a matrix team environment.
  • Strong presentation, organizational, communication, negotiation and closing skills.
  • Highly developed business acumen and ability to understand the wider issues of the technology and telecommunications industry.
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment, process oriented, highly organized and extremely self-motivated are a must.
  • Sales and account management competency is important to Ovum and seek candidate who possess the below key characteristics:

    4. Can identify economic drivers
    5. Comfortable in negotiations of up to high 6 figure contracts
    6.  Can assert pressure comfortably and professionally
