Our sales team is growing, andwe are for looking for an additional Sales Manager to join the team! As a SalesManager, you will be a driving force among our sales team. Your ability to workquickly, honestly, and effectively to build relationships with our internalclients will set the bar with our other sales professionals. Daily tasksinclude supporting our client leaders in business development and competitiveknowledge efforts to ensure we are well-positioned to win competitive bids,leading the strategy formulation for proposals, writing and/or editing proposalsections, and contributing to the sales teams' improvement efforts to increasewin rates. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and companyand get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. Thisis a full-time position located in our Parsippany, NJ, Phoenix, AZ, Rochester,NY, Cleveland, OH, Hartford, CT, or Richmond, VA offices.

The successful candidate will:

  • Establish trusted advisor relationships with all functions and leaders in the Energy and Mining Business Unit.
  • Lead capture strategy/pre-positioning sessions and competitor and market research efforts with client leaders.
  • Drive Go/No-Go decisions/conversations prior to developing proposals.
  • Lead discussions with proposal teams prior to execution to establish what the differentiation will be, leveraging specific team knowledge of the client as well as client feedback interviews, and general knowledge of what clients are looking for from their consultants.
  • Ensure proposals speak to the company's overall differentiation, including examples/proof points.
  • Review all proposal content to ensure it meets the RFP requirements and speaks throughout to the differentiation determined by the team; writes proposal copy based on the win themes.
  • Interviews for and writes brochure and SOQ content.
  • Participates in keeping the Sales/proposal pipeline and calendar up to date.
  • Oversee the Sales Coordinator's project coordination for proposals and SOQs; understands obstacles to meeting deliverable deadlines and elevates all conflict to the Director of Sales in a timely fashion to ensure quality and timely end-product.
  • Mentor junior Sales staff to develop skills and expose them to new, challenging tasks to help grow the team's resource and bandwidth.
  • Mentor junior Sales staff in creating proposal differentiators and developing resumes and other proposal elements.

  • Skilled at leading technical teams to uncover client needs and values, understand competitor relationships with the clients/prospects, and identifying where we have a demonstrable advantage
  • Adept at active listening interview techniques to help technical staff develop a differentiated approach
  • Influential problem solver who can recommend solutions to any challenges to delivering winning proposals
  • Proven ability to create a positive experience where all proposal team members are clear on their roles and contributions
  • Recognized for providing strategic sales guidance to senior leaders as well as educating them on the value of sales and differentiation
  • Strong verbal and written communications; able to present ideas clearly and concisely
  • Keeps abreast of sales industry best practices and shares improvement ideas and learnings with the entire sales team
