POSITION SUMMARY
- The professional Registered Nurse works under the direct supervision of the SDS Manager. The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care of patients including those in the following age groups: Infancy, childhood, adolescents, adult and geriatric. Participation in Performance Improvement, Inservice, Safety and Cost Management is ongoing. Responsible for preoperative and postoperative care consistent with SDS Nursing Standards. On call work required, with 30 minute window to arrive at hospital.
- New graduates will be enrolled in Trinity's Nurse Residency program and expected to graduate from the program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
  - Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure.
  - BLS and Accu-Chek certification required within orientation period.
- Educational Requirements
  - RN program as evidenced by licensure.
  - Official diploma or transcript from the school/university from where degree was received.
- Experience Requirements
  - Hospital experience is preferred, but not required.
- Special Skills or Training Requirements
  - As required by specific units.
