RF/SATCOM Lead Training Content/Multimedia Developer

SAIC has an opening for a qualified candidate based out of Charleston to work on an exciting project! The selected candidate will manage and support the multimedia design, development, and delivery of a training program focused on apprentice-level technical operation, maintenance, and handling/storage of complex weapon and sensor systems. A background in the planning, analysis, design, development, and implementation of Navy training products is desired, but not required. This is a classified program. The selected candidate will be expected to adhere to stringent security requirements. Responsibilities: This is a significant position in a high profile and technically challenging program for which you would be responsible for the development and implementation of a viable training solution to the customer. As the Lead Developer, you will be supporting the Program Manager, Lead Engineer, and Lead Instructional System Designer (ISD) in a team environment as well as individually, for support of analysis, development, evolution, implementation, and documentation of the entire enterprise.

In general terms, you will be required to:

- Design, produce, and provide technical knowledge and expertise on multimedia applications, systems, and products involving computer graphics, digital photography, videography, animations, etc.
- Utilize software applications in multiple technology media systems, such as graphics, animation, text, and sound
- Complete understanding and wide application of multimedia design and development principles, concepts, practices, and standards
- Maintain practical knowledge of current industry practices
- Perform assignments in the form of objectives and establish goals to meet outlined objectives
- Administer company policies that directly affect employees
- Recommend changes to team policies
- Develop solutions to a variety of problems moderate in scope and complexity.
- Work under only general direction
- Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization.
- Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects
- Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. 
Specific duties include:

- Support PM, engineering staff, SME, and Lead ISD to systematically analyze, design, prototype, develop, test, and implement training content for a complex weapons and sensor system for an important customer.
- Work with SME, PM, Lead ISD, and customer to develop training design(s) and baselines
- Support PM and Lead ISD to verify that the proposed training solution capitalizes on the most efficient and cost effective training technologies; and can efficiently and effectively provide all knowledge and skills required to operate and maintain the system. Support the Lead ISD in creating a cost/benefit analysis of the solution.
- Develop SCORM-compliant interactive multimedia instruction (IMI) for operations, maintenance, and handling/storage procedures, derived from the instructional design deliverables for the system training program.
- Support Lead ISD in the development of a Training Development Package for Operators and Maintainers
- Support development of an Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) (may include XML tagging; creation of technical graphics and diagrams; etc.)
- Perform training content development in accordance with the guidance provided in the "MIL-HDBK 29612A Guidance for Acquisition of Training Data Products and Services series" training
- Support functional capabilities for all major milestones
- Task and provide technical oversight to a small team of multimedia developers

Qualifications:

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience

Necessary Skills:

- Demonstrated ability to perform markup/programming tasks using JavaScript, XML, ActionScript 3.0, CSS, and HTML/HTML5
- Demonstrated experience creating interactive multimedia content including animation and interactive exercises
- Strong graphic design and illustration skills using Photoshop and vector- based graphics program(s)
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively in a team environment and lead small groups of digital artists
- A portfolio is required (an online portfolio is preferred)
Desired Skills:

- Experience with the life cycle of design of training content from concept through project completion
- Experience with e-Learning authoring tools
- Mobile device content development experience
- Video editing experience
- 3D Modeling and/or Unity game engine experience
- Learning Management System and SCORM or xAPI experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
Required Education & Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic/Multimedia Design, Computer Science, or similar from an accredited college or university and 6+ years of related experience is required.

Clearance Requirements:

- Must be United States citizen
- Must possess a current DoD TS/SCI Clearance
- Must possess an SSBI that is current within the last 5 years
- Must able to pass a polygraph examination
