Job Summary
The University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research (UK CAER) is actively conducting an ongoing search to fill position(s) in its Power Generation and Utility Fuels group. Experience/expertise in several of the areas below is preferred: system control, process simulation, unit operation, heat transfer, process integration, coal conversion, fluidization, gas separation, CO2 capture, chemical looping combustion/gasification, power plant emission reduction and water treatment. Applicants for the research engineer positions will preferably have experience in chemical, thermal, mechanical or petroleum engineering, including experience in power generation, plant operations, maintenance, process control systems, safety and engineering; strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation and initiative; and the ability to work well with all levels of personnel throughout UK CAER’s laboratories.
