Physical Requirements

Travel between clinic sites and UK Campus, sitting for extended periods of time, some possible lifting less than 24 pounds


Primarily days, Monday – Friday.
Between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Job Summary

The southeast region of the US has the highest rates of head and neck cancer in the country. Our group is interested in ways to detect and better treat head and neck cancer. We are seeking a motivated clinical research coordinator to oversee head and neck cancer related clinical research studies. The research coordinator will be responsible for successful implementation of all study protocols. This will include recruiting and enrolling participants; scheduling visits and making reminder phone calls; overseeing correct execution of study visit protocols; collecting, processing and biobanking specimens (including conducting venipuncture); managing all study-related billing including weekly review and reconciliation of charges; and overseeing reimbursement for participants.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Education/Experience

Experience in research and/or project coordination preferred.
Clinical and laboratory research experience preferred.
Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
