Physical Requirements | Sitting and standing for long periods of time. Lifting, pushing, pulling of objects up to 20 lbs. Shift | Monday – Friday. Some nights and weekends depending upon workload demands. |
Job Summary | The laboratory of Dr. Chang Guo Zhan, in the College of Pharmacy, is seeking a Research Associate. This position will produce various protein drug candidates through construction of the plasmids, development of stable cell lines, protein expression and purification, and protein activity and stability analyses. They will also evaluate various drug candidates in vitro and in vivo (mice and rats etc.) for their activities relevant to clinical applications. Additionally, they will be responsible for management of the laboratory which includes monitoring lab instruments and keeping track experimental materials/supplies for the lab. The Research Associate will train graduate students for experimental skills, provide instruction and guidance to students, and hold training sessions as needed. |
