Job Summary | The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is actively recruiting a 12-month, non-tenure track research appointment at the Assistant Professor level to grow the research enterprise by strategically investing in the area of Women’s Health Research within the Department. The primary responsibilities of this individual’s research activities will include the development of an extramurally funded research program with publication of research related articles. This position will be aligned with and complement the work of existing faculty and the ongoing research. Teaching activities will be assigned in accordance with departmental standards to meet departmental and college needs. The administrative component of the position will contribute to the public profile of OB/GYN through teaching, scholarship, participation and engagement in related initiatives focuses on women’s health research. The individual will be expected to provide information and consultation, as appropriate, to local, national and international groups involved in research. Please include a CV along with application. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to protect our university community including our students, staff, faculty and visitors, the University of Kentucky is requiring COVID-19 vaccination for all new hires prior to starting employment. Therefore, as of October 18, 2021, all new hires prior to their first day of employment must submit appropriate documentation showing, i) completion of the first vaccination against COVID-19, or ii) completion of the full vaccination series against COVID-19, or iii) approved exemption (medical contraindications or a sincerely held religious belief) through the formal exemption process from the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. For those employees who have completed the first vaccination against COVID-19 prior to their first day of employment, the second vaccination (if applicable) must be completed following the vaccination recommended schedule to be considered fully vaccinated. |
