Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities
  • Manages information requests submitted to DAR Reporting from a variety of constituents, including staff in the Advancement division and throughout the College. Prioritizes data requests and negotiates due dates and deliverables. Creates and distributes reports to meet needs that cannot be met by standard Data Warehouse reports. Identifies opportunities to modify existing reports, create new reports, or automate report delivery to support self-service access to data. Reviews all data sets produced and troubleshoots results and data set issues as needed to achieve desired end result. - 50%
  • Maintains logical filing system for data files. Schedules and performs all periodic data requests for accounting and biographical reporting - daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly. - 20%
  • Works with requesters to understand purpose of request to ensure appropriate and accurate information is delivered for the intended audience, being mindful of confidentiality of the data. Uses advanced working knowledge of relational database systems and data warehouses to advise constituents in making data requests that will result in the desired end product. Educates customers about current policies and procedures with regards to data access and use. - 10%
  • Works with the Analyst Services team and Data Warehouse Team to create, edit, test, and inactivate Table Management System values and data warehouse data elements to support new business processes and reporting needs. Participates in testing upgrades or changes to data systems. - 10%
  • Escalates issues to appropriate technical or business colleagues (i.e., to check code or to check business rules). Collaborates with the Information Management Systems & New Media team to execute all requests and tasks pertaining to fiscal and calendar year ends and other busy periods. - 5%
