Kentucky State Radiation Operator’s License through KBMIRT (Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy)
Physical Requirements
Must work on feet wearing lead apron. Must be able to lift >50 pounds. Pushing and pulling of beds, stretchers and patients.
Shift
7:30am – 6:00pm (Four 10-hour shifts) with some evenings, nights, holidays and/or weekends per business needs. On-call shifts are required.
Job Summary
This position will perform diagnostic procedures for patients to assist the patient’s physician in expediting needed care. The Radiology Tech will utilize proper procedures for identifying films, images, and patients; mark films and images correctly for interpretation; test and record emergency equipment daily; complete all necessary paperwork, including electronic system updates; assist in quality assurance review to maintain professional standards; and comply with all state and federal regulations concerning professional licensure/certification.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical radiology technician experience particularly in the Cath Lab; direct patient care experience; exceptional organizational and communication skills (written & verbal); outstanding computer skills (including Microsoft Office); above-average customer service abilities; active-listening skills; a thorough understanding of HIPPA policies; and will enjoy working both independently as well as closely with coworkers in a supportive team environment.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
Cath Lab or Interventional experience preferred.
