ARRT and Kentucky State Radiation Operators License. CT certification obtained within one year of hire date.

Job Summary

**New Starting Pay Rate** The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted based on current demand for this role. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $23.00/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidates experience.

This position will provide CT imaging for patients and assist the patients physician in expediting needed care.

CT Technologists perform diagnostic examinations and assist with interventional procedures for patients of all classes, ages, cultural backgrounds, and levels of illness. The CT technologist is expected to perform independent, critical thinking, in an academic medical center environment.

CT Technologists are expected to perform high quality imaging in stressful situations, while adhering to policy and practice standards. Functioning in a patient Centered manner that yields high quality, safe patient care, is an essential role for the CT Technologist.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Leadership skills, critical thinking, time management, attention to detail, high-touch patient experience, maintain composure in high stress environment, excellent communicator, flexible, ability to work in a teaching environment, managing competing priorities, radiation safety, and knowledge of CT image quality and production.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience

Associates degree plus three or more years related experience in academic medical center CT department, Cardiac CT, Adult and Pediatric patient care experience, Level 1 trauma experience preferred. Experience leading or managing a CT unit preferred.
