Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist school; graduate of an AMA approved nuclear medicine technology program within nuclear medicine.
  • Registered American Registry of Radiology Technologists and/or Registered Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board for Nuclear Medicine and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
  • HSCPR
  • 3-5 years technical experience, 3 years in a managerial capacity
  • The ability to perform frequent standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting objects heavier than fifty pounds, including patients





POSITION SUMMARY

The Radiology Manager directs the daily departmental activities to ensure efficient diagnostic testing operations that support quality patient care initiatives at both hospital divisions.



This position ensures the efficient operation of the department by providing technical and administrative support to the Administrative Director and staff. The Radiology Manager assists staff in performing routine diagnostic exams, evaluates the quality of films and equipment, assists with staff evaluation and assessment, and coordinates staff scheduling and coverage. This position oversees the time and attendance function, in conjunction with other administrative and technical staff members. This position actively participates in and supports student clinical education activities.



This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist school; graduate of an AMA approved nuclear medicine technology program within nuclear medicine. Bachelor's degree preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Licensed by the State of New Jersey, Department of Environmental Protection. Registered American Registry of Radiology Technologists and/or

Registered Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board for Nuclear Medicine and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. HSCPR required.

EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years technical experience required; 3 years within a managerial capacity. Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.



WORK ENVIRONMENT

Potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens along with infectious diseases. Requires frequent standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting objects heavier than fifty pounds, including patients.

Frequent exposure to blood, body fluids/tissues, and electromagnetic radiation.

Radiology

Skeletal and all body systems including but not limited to: pulmonary, cardiac/cardiovascular, GI, GU/GYN, oncology etc, during radiology exams.

CT

Imaging with and without contrast of cardio-pulmonary, vascular, neuron, GI, GU, GYN, skeletal/muscular conditions and diseases including but not limited to: PVD, CVA/TIA, COPD, CHF, HNP, oncology, etc..

MRI

Cardiac/cardiovascular, mammary, GI, endocrine, renal, skeletal conditions and disease including but not limited to: CAD, PVD, CVA/TIA, COPD, CHF, oncology, etc..

Nuclear Medicine

Cardiac/cardiovascular, renal, skeletal, pulmonary conditions and diseases including but not limited to: CAD, PE, cholecytitis, oncology, etc..

Special Procedures

Stents/decloting vascular, rental conditions and diseases including but not limited to PVD, renal, oncology, etc..

Ultrasound

Cholecystitis, BPH, oncology, uterine fibroids, fetal ultrasound etc..
