Job Title: Quote Specialist
Department: Inside Sales
Location and Hours: 12701 Van Nuys Blvd. Ste. Q CA 91331 - Monday Friday 8:30 am 5:00 pm
Summary:
Lex Products is seeking a Quote Specialist to assist our Sales department. Lex Products is a world leader in the design, development, and manufacture of portable power distribution products. The Quote Specialist works directly with Sales, Engineering, Product Managers and Operations to assist in the quotations process and costing trends. The purpose of this position is to produce customer price quotations in addition to providing analysis that supports strategic pricing and business initiatives. Pricing responsibility is to meet margin objectives. The Quote Specialist will provide accurate and complete quotes to the Inside Sales Representatives within the timeframe required to meet the customers need.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Manage quoting inbox to build quotes for various complexities. Quoting will cover all territories.
- Deliver timely, accurate and professional customer sales quotes for a wide range of product lines.
- Maintain pricing standardization.
- Develop integrated analyses, projections and summarized reports that provide understanding into trends and developments in competitive environments.
- Work with sales and marketing team to develop price strategies and to maintain market price overviews.
- Perform financial forecasting for finance.
- Establish lead times by use of current manufacturing department data and direct contact with supply chain and operations.
- Compile and analyze business data and reports as needed by the organization.
- Provide backup support to the sales phone lines, providing customers with prices, and taking down custom quote information, if required.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:

HS Diploma/ GED Required
- 2 years of relevant industry experience required
- 1-3 years of field experience with power distribution products is a plus
- Experience in Entertainment or Industrial applications is desired
- Pricing, marketing, or sales experience strongly desired
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing a plus
- Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) ex. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft NAV, Made2Manage
- Strong computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Internet. Excel experience required
- Effective oral and written communication; good spelling and grammar
- Superior time management and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of cost/pricing relationships
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize to meet tight deadlines on a daily basis
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform well under pressure
- Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
- Capable of performance excellence within a fast paced work environment
- Strong problem solving skills and troubleshooting ability
- A team-oriented and target oriented mindset
- Strong analytical capabilities with ability to summarize findings
- Strong internal and external customer service skills desired
- Excellent Math skills to include working with percentages
- Self-motivated professional with a consistent, reliable work ethic
- Ability to sit for long periods of time at a desktop computer
- Capable of performance excellence within a fast paced work environment
- BS/BA degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Finance preferred
