Role Summary:

The Quality Assurance Manager position will be a leader of responsible for contributing directly to the success of an innovative cloud based unmanned aerial and autonomous flight operations ecosystem. This position is responsible for the quality of our UAV/Drone operations management products.

Essential Responsibilities:

This position leads the QA team and works with external and internal teams, and helps team members to triage bugs. The ability to define and fulfill QA tasks based on product requirements, and delivering in accordance with fast paced Agile development schedules is important.

In this role, you will:

+ Be responsible for driving the Software Quality Engineering efforts across unit, module, system and user acceptance testing

+ Provide expert oversight, mentoring team members and leading quality initiatives in large development efforts. Experienced in effectively delegating work

+ Manage QA teams (onshore and offshore) with people management responsibilities

+ Be responsible for designing and implementing test framework including automation in a fast-paced Agile development environment using the latest software development and test methodologies.

+ Work with multiple teams, define QA tasks with priorities, and help team members to fulfill them.

+ Represent QA teams and participate in planning and execution using agile methodologies such as SCRUM and serve as a key driver to improve product quality.

+ Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision.


+ Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with 8-10 years experience in quality engineering

+ A minimum of 4 years of experience in a QA manager capacity

+ Experience in managing both onshore and offshore teams

+ Must be willing to travel 10%

+ Must be willing to work out of an office located in Boston, MA

Desired Characteristics:

+ Expert in designing and implementing QA automation testing

+ Demonstrated experience in being a subject matter expert for products

+ Experience with the practices and dynamics in an Agile development process

+ Demonstrated experience in leading the QA vision for products

+ Use of documentation, collaboration, version control tools
