SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience

The Opportunity

RDA Consulting is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong communication and project support skills, to fill the position of Project Support Assistant (PSA). The PSA works as a member of the project team supporting a wide variety of public and social sector efforts, including juvenile and criminal justice, mental health, social services, workforce development, and community health projects, and provides administrative support to the VP of Consulting Services and Associate Directors (2). The PSA position is intended as an intermediate-level position that can lead to other levels of employment in administration, operations, or consulting.


About the role

Duties will include a mix of tasks across multiple concurrent projects. Sample duties may include:

  1. Scheduling and coordinating public meetings, focus groups, and key informant interviews, including identifying meeting locations, and arranging logistics and refreshments.
  2. Coordinating and administering incentive programs related to community outreach efforts.
  3. Preparing communications such as memos and emails.
  4. Providing support and final formatting for materials such as agendas, handouts, presentations, and proposals, including production, assembly, and submission of materials.
  5. Producing tables and graphics for reports and presentations.
  6. Setting up and administering mail/online surveys.
  7. Updating and maintaining web portals, websites, and electronic filing systems.
  8. Performing administrative support activities such as scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, and arranging travel for the Vice President and Associate Directors.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

About You

  • Interest in supporting planning, research, and technical assistance in the public and social policy arena.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative work style.
  • Ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously with attention to competing deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and planning abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and PowerPoint) with general basic knowledge of and/or ability to learn programs and systems such as Google Suite, Monday.com, Trello, Alchemer, Unanet, Adobe Connect, HTML, and database management.
  • Direct experience and interest in working within diverse communities; Spanish language fluency is a strong plus.
  • Experience in preparing materials and presentations and managing events and public meetings.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required, completion of AA/AS degree in Administration or Social Sciences a plus, and/or 3-4 years of work experience in an administrative role.

RDA Consulting is a hybrid office environment, in which many roles provide the option to work at our Oakland, CA headquarters or to work remotely. The decision to allow remote work is based on the requirements of each individual position.
