Project Management Specialist - Northeast Asia

Role Summary:As the Project Manager you will be responsible for the successful execution of the project, according to contractual obligations, project schedule, local regulations and financial targets, working closely with the Customer, EPC contractor and numerous stakeholders within and outside the company.

Essential Responsibilities:- Manage among the client and BOP contractors, and maintain good relationship for smooth project implementation

- Lead and direct project team members, ensure overall successful execution for projects and implement the project strategy with project team members

- Manage project implementation schedule and its progress

- Ensure the safety work environment at the project site

- Manage project quality

- Ensure necessary support is obtained from Engineering and other functions in order to meet the project objectives and/or milestones

- Establish and agree on a schedule of activities leading to the completion of the contract with clear milestones, deliverable and acceptance defined criteria

- Prepare and present formal presentations in order to communicate project progression, issues, risks and opportunities to management

- Manage the day-to-day interface with the customer and ensure all communication is effectively controlled

- Ensure the project team is effectively structured and the roles and responsibilities are clearly defined, coordinated and understood

- Work to ensure that the impact of claims and variations are limited / reduced

- Manage the changes, errors and omissions to reduce the effects on the project

Qualifications/Requirements:- Previous experience as a Project Manager of a large scale infrastructure project

- Previous experience working in an International Company

- Experience with local regulations

- Project management skills including contract management, planning and cost control

- Proven ability to successfully lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve high standard of performance within constricted deadline and budget

- Fluent in Japanese and English
