Job Summary | The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the College of Engineering is seeking a Part-Time Program Coordinator for the PEIK Program. The successful candidate should be able to perform at least two of the following three groups of tasks. (1) Business Office Function Support the PEIK director, faculty, and researchers for regular operations and office administrative needs, including organization of meetings, travel arrangements, ordering of laboratory supplies and small equipment, expense and purchasing reports, preparation of documentation. (2) Website, Social Media, and Email Communications Maintain the websites and the social media for PEIK and associated labs, edit content, draft news and short articles, issue emails to wide circulation groups. (3) Curriculum Design and Support Work with faculty to assist in and support course content module development, and deployment in Learning Management Systems, such as Canvas. Assist the directors of the Certificate programs and help advising students interested in pursuing the certificates, and tracking the certificate completion. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to protect our university community including our students, staff, faculty and visitors, the University of Kentucky is requiring COVID-19 vaccination for all new hires prior to starting employment. Therefore, as of October 18, 2021, all new hires prior to their first day of employment must submit appropriate documentation showing, i) completion of the first vaccination against COVID-19, or ii) completion of the full vaccination series against COVID-19, or iii) approved exemption (medical contraindications or a sincerely held religious belief) through the formal exemption process from the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. For those employees who have completed the first vaccination against COVID-19 prior to their first day of employment, the second vaccination (if applicable) must be completed following the vaccination recommended schedule to be considered fully vaccinated. |
