Job Description:

The Corporate and Foundation Programs department is comprised of over forty mission-aligned scholarship, fellowship and small grants programs funded by foundations and corporations. Programs include the Cargill Global Scholars, the Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program, the USABCI Myanmar Scholarship Fund, the Ford Global Fellowship, and many others. The Program Analyst contributes to multiple aspects of the program lifecycle for a portfolio of programs within the team. This may include the following for individual and organizational focused programs: interfacing with pre-applicants serving as the first point of contact for potential individual or organizational grantees, conducting targeted outreach and recruitment activities, participating in application management and selection services, providing grant-making, advising, and monitoring services to individuals or organizations, and coordinating events and/or study tours and delegations.

Essential Functions:

  • Serves as main point of contact for a portfolio of individual and/or organizational participants and the applicable program partners based on the program requirements.
  • Monitors, tracks, and reports on applicant or participant progress and outcomes and program compliance, as applicable.
  • Provides emergency services support, connecting participants to local resources and coordinating follow-up as necessary.
  • Maintains pre-applicant, applicant and participant data in relevant systems (i.e. Client Relationship Management (CRM)), following established processes.
  • Assists in the planning and implementation of seasonal program lifecycle components such as outreach, recruitment, application and selection services and program events including study tours and delegations as assigned.

The Institute of International Education ("IIE") has a hybrid work environment that allows team members a combination of in-office work and telework at any of the locations listed above.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in order to apply a working knowledge of the theories and principles in a specialized field or work discipline.
  • Requires at least five years of related work experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of global scholarship and grant-making work.
  • Strong interest and ability to work across a range of programs with different requirements.
  • Ability to manage intercultural and emergency issues.
  • Demonstrated project management, time management, and administrative skills.
  • Strong interest and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of team members and partners.
  • Ability to exercise discretion on confidential matters.
