**Job Description Summary**

Jacksonville Products think outside the engine. As a Production Assembler at our GE Jacksonville site, you will learn how to assemble electrical components and systems, (harnesses, sensors, igniters, leads and exciters) how to solder and operate/perform functional testing.

**Roles and Responsibilities:**

Role Summary:

+ Assemble electrical components and systems (harnesses, sensors, igniters, leads and exciters)

+ Cut, strip, and crimp wire as required

+ Performs visual & basic measurement inspection of parts subsequent to assembly steps

+ Performs functional tests using a variety of equipment to verify accuracy and functionality (i.e. electrical, helium, and leak tests as required)

**Essential Responsibilities**

In addition, you will:

+ Follow written work instructions, processes, and procedures

+ Be trained to obtain all required certifications of department

+ Work with hazardous materials

+ Use a wide variety of hand and/or power tools as required

+ Ability to do weight measuring as required

+ Read and interpret dimensional measurements as required (calipers, and scales)

+ Be cross-train as required


+ Actively participate in a teaming environment that uses lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes

+ Basic computer skills

+ Basic math skills

+ Basic ERP skills

+ Basic written and verbal communications skills

**Eligibility Requirements:**

+ Ability to frequently lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations

+ High School diploma or GED

**Desired Characteristics** **:**

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints

+ Soldering and electronics manufacturing experience

+ Assembly and Braze experience

+ Dimensional and electrical training

+ Excellent attendance history

+ Ability to produce error free products

+ Strives to meet or exceed job requirements
