Procurement and Fulfillment Specialist

Role Summary:The Procurement and Fulfillment Specialist will manage the buying process for a given set of goods. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. This position requires understanding of concepts, methods and procedures to enable sourcing execution and fulfillment.



Essential Responsibilities:As the Procurement and Fulfillment Specialist you will:





+ Place and follow-up on POs



+ Price inquiries, offer analysis and comparison of terms



+ Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution



+ Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research



+ Manage problems and schedule changes



+ Update ERP



+ Analyze and track supplier promise date accuracy and develop reports to ensure supplier promise date accuracy



+ Writes reports to track PO activity and supplier performance



+ Develop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations



+ Specify needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done



+ Actively participate in supplier performance reviews



+ Advise functional managers regarding sourcing projects, processes and procedures



+ Contribute to projects as a team member or leads small projects



+ Achieve lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs



+ Solicit and evaluate proposals employing appropriate negotiation, cost and price analysis techniques, using available expertise from supporting organizations; implement purchase contracts following applicable company and government regulations



+ Evaluate current and anticipated requirements, determine potential sources, obtain bids, and plan programs to meet business needs



+ Coordinate, direct, perform, all required functions from initiation of an intent to purchase through to satisfactory delivery of material or services



+ Initiate necessary action to assure best value is received, customer delivery requirements are met, and address any manufacturing problems at suppliers facility





Qualifications/Requirements:



+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED)



+ Minimum 5 years of experience in Sourcing, Buying, and/or Procurement) Purchasing Systems experience.

+ Familiarity with Sourcing & GSCM Systems (SAP, Support central)

+ Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
