**Job Description Summary**

The Principal Structural/Thermal Analysis Engineer is responsible for analysis, design, and verification of propulsion systems. They will lead a team of talented engineering professionals in the development of the most advanced technologies in the industry. The Principal Engineer applies industry standard and advanced computational and additive manufacturing techniques to reacting, high temperature flow fields in support of system and subsystem design, development, ground and flight testing. Structural and thermal analysis includes, but is not limited to, subsystem performance modeling such as combustion systems, hypersonic reacting flow fields, air-breathing inlet/isolator/combustor/nozzle systems, active cooling systems, air-cycle systems, fuel systems, and fluid distribution systems. Critical design and analysis outcomes are predictive performance and validation measures to include forces and moments, mixing, ignition, reaction, heat release, and heat transfer in mixed subsonic, supersonic, and hypersonic flow fields. Position responsibilities will also include design for manufacturing, program execution support, post-test verification, and trouble-shooting. This position requires a strong background performing structural thermal analysis as well as CAD/CAM design for additive manufacturing for future high speed supersonic and hypersonic engine systems.

**Job Description**
