Senior Dynatrace Administrator

 

ADP is seeking a Senior Dynatrace Administrator for Application Performance Monitoring and User Experience Monitoring Solutions. This individual will play a critical, internal-client-facing role that interprets and translates client requirements into viable and scalable solutions.  The candidate will be responsible for -

  • Research and Development - Responsible for overall Architecture of Application Monitoring and User Experience Analytics and evolution of Technical insights, reports and Dashboards for all applications. Candidate will research the exiting tools and solutions and will recommend means of enhancing the architecture to gain insights and improve overall Application Owners’ experience.
  • User Experience Analytics: Responsible for UEM solutions including configuration and infrastructure support of monitoring/alerting/reporting tools through Dynatrace. Makes technical recommendations on application performance improvement initiatives and overall applications monitoring. Also responsible for resolving Technical challenges with the underlying Architecture and improving the overall performance of the Dynatrace system. Provide end to end Dynatrace infrastructure support. Proactively find opportunities by analyzing session activities, customer feedback to provide meaningful insights for executive reporting. Generate value by working with development teams and business clients to identify key transactions and events, segments. Monitoring and analyzing session data to understand customer behavior and identify site issues that are adversely impacting conversion. Creating alerts, reports, and dashboards to support growing business needs. Train end users on Dynatrace.
  • Application Performance Monitoring - Using Dynatrace APM tools to optimize application performance and identify performance bottlenecks in web applications and provide solutions. Identify opportunities through Dynatrace and drill down to do root cause analysis for insights gained from User Experience tools like Dynatrace. Provide end to end Dynatrace infrastructure support. Partner with application development, application support, and other IT infrastructure resources to define measurement frameworks, develop KPI's and performance dashboards. Works closely with application development teams during release rollout to analyze application performance impact and troubleshoot issues.
  • Application Development and Automation.
  • Program Management - Driving solution development through requirements gathering/analysis/discovery, business plan creation, and solution level of effort estimation to ensure that client interests are met and potential business opportunities are established. Drive to push for on time and on budget development activity and migration of applications.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science.
  • Five or more years of experience with Dynatrace APM and UEM products.
  • Possess experience in production support and scalable Architecture implementations.
  • Exposure to monitoring and configuration management for scalable environments.
  • Ability to script Python, BASH shell, and powershell
  • Excellent grasp of web technologies like JavaScript, Ajax, coding languages like Java and .NET.
  • Knowledge of Application Servers, e.g. WebSphere AS, WebSphere Liberty, and Tomcat (include Spring),  etc.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes architecture including key components and EKS in the cloud.
  • Knowledge on Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.) and experience with cloud automation  (cloud formation and terraform)    
  • Must have exceptional English written and verbal communications skills.
  • Structured approach, analytical thinking, and accuracy.
  • Provide guidance, informal training, and recommendations regarding use of the Dynatrace OneAgent for application performance analysis
  • Assist teams with onboarding to Dynatrace including configuration, automation, and training
  • Act as a technical expert in observability, automation, and intelligence using the Dynatrace
  • Provide hands-on, administrator support for Dynatrace
  • Implement monitors, maintenance, configuration, integrity, tuning, and troubleshooting
  • Architect, Deployment, configuration, and maintenance of OneAgent, ActiveGate, Real User Monitoring (RUM), and Agentless RUM
  • Container, Cloud, and Virtual Machine monitoring via Dynatrace
  • Utilize expert knowledge in Application Performance Management (APM).
  • Configuration of settings for monitoring, services, log analytics, anomaly detection, integration with 3rd party services, and general preferences
  • Create dashboards and charts within the Dynatrace platform
  • Utilize visualizations and data provided from Dynatrace to deliver application and infrastructure monitoring information to key stakeholders and other technical resources
  • Use Dynatrace monitoring data to provide insight into maintenance of infrastructure and application health
  • Utilize Dynatrace artificial intelligence to identify problems and root causes
  • Lead architectural development and implementation of Dynatrace in monitoring applications, cloud and on-premises servers, and databases
  • Analyze performance, establish baselines, and create alerts using Dynatrace
  • Has experience in working with OneAgent and Active Gate extensions. (Extension Creation and Configurations)
  • Collaborate with staff in diagnosing and resolving issues, engaging other technical resources as needed to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, and operating procedures
  • Conduct training and knowledge transfer for staff
