Job Summary

There is an opening in the Young-Sam Lee lab at University of Kentucky College of Medicine for a postdoctoral scholar to work on an NIH-funded research project investigating metabolic signaling relevant to cancer (Keller et al., 2012, Science 338:1069-72; Keller et al., 2014, Molecular Cell 53:700-709; Yan et al., 2016, Biochemistry, 55:4731-6). Successful applicant will use protein biochemistry, biophysical methods, mass spectrometric analysis, mammalian cell culture, and/or rodent experiments to determine the importance of metabolites on cancer.
Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. or to receive a Ph.D. degree before starting the position. He or she should have no more than 5 years of postdoctoral experiences with a strong background in protein biochemistry, mass spectrometry, metabolism, molecular biology, cell biology, and/or cancer biology. A demonstrated track record of project completion and relevant first author publications will be required. The start date will be negotiable.
