Experience with cell culture, molecular biology, histological analysis of tissues/atherosclerotic lesions, animal models of inflammation, atherosclerosis, vascular diseases, lipid metabolism are desirable. All applicants should have excellent English oral and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements
Standing at the bench for extended periods. Sitting at desks and computers for long periods. Walking some extended distances to locations of need for use of service centers or collaborations as example. Lifting of objects up to 25 pounds.
Shift
Typically Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with some nights and weekends possible due to experimentation.
Job Summary
We are seeking Postdoctoral Researchers to lead projects in acute and chronic inflammation and host innate immunity in disease models such as atherosclerosis, aortic aneurysms, sepsis, and others. We use state-of-the-art techniques like spatial transcriptomics and 2-photon live animal imaging to investigate molecular and cellular mechanisms.
 
The ideal candidates will be highly independent and be able to work collaboratively to advance their projects. They must be able to pursue intellectually and technically complex projects through to completion. The appointee will be given autonomy to grow as an independent scientist while working as part of the team to accelerate the research objectives of the lab as well as opportunities for career development.
