Physical Requirements	Ability to stand for long periods of time for laboratory experiments. Ability to sit for long periods of time at a desk with computer duties like data analyses and writing.
Shift	Typically Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with some nights and weekends possible due to experimentation.
Job Summary	In the laboratory of Dr. Ken Campbell, we are looking for a postdoc to support NIH funded projects focused on the contractile properties of human myocardium. Working as part of a translational research team, the successful applicant will perform (1) cell and tissue-level measurements of contractile function, and (2) support biochemical analyses of human myocardium. We prefer candidates who have experience in one or more of the following areas: contractile measurements using living or chemically permeabilized cells assessments of ventricular function biochemistry (gels / blots) of sarcomeric proteins scientific writing Our lab is team oriented and collaborates with multiple groups worldwide. Our work spans from molecular function to clinical cardiology. We take professional development seriously and help each other to write grant applications and papers.
