Job Summary

The Cherra lab uses the microscopic worm, C. elegans, to understand how behavior is modulated by genes and developmental experience. The ideal candidate will join a team of researchers investigating how neurons and non-neuronal support cells communicate during synapse formation. The project will provide training in genetic engineering, in vivo imaging, and behavioral analysis. A successful candidate will be expected to develop an individual research project, gather and analyze data, and communicate results in written and oral formats.
