Job Summary | The Civil Engineering Department of University of Kentucky is seeking applications for a Post-Doc Scholar position in the area of construction materials with particular emphasis on asphalt materials and pavements. The position offers a unique opportunity for research collaborations with researchers at the UK CE Department, Asphalt Institute, UK Center for Applied Energy Research, and Kentucky Transportation Center. According to the UK rules, the Post-Doc position is a one-year term, and it is renewable up to five years contingent upon performance and availability of funds. The position requires demonstrated abilities to initiate and maintain a program of research supported by contracts, grants, or other designated funds. Candidates are expected to maintain an active level of scholarly journal publications with UK researchers and partner institutions, and provide assistance with writing proposals to seek external research funding. Candidates should submit the names of 3 references and their contact information. Please provide the following attachments: cover letter, curriculum vita, transcript, (specific request 1) list of three references and their contact information, and (specific request 2) documentation showing that the candidate is legally authorized to work in the United States.
