Shift
Monday through Saturday; 40+ hours/week. Some nights required to supervise night shift
Job Summary
The UK HealthCare Sleep Disorders Center is a rapidly growing clinic providing clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients referred to a specialist in the field of sleep medicine. The center provides adult and pediatric outpatient clinical services 5 days per week and adult and pediatric night sleep studies 6 nights per week on average. This leadership position works under the supervision of the Sleep Center Manager, with direction from Medical Director, to provide sound judgment related to the assignment of staffing duties, competency management, and operations. This position will train and supervise polysomnography technicians; provide expertise and operational guidance for the completion of procedures at the Sleep Disorders Center, and on occasion, may perform sleep studies. The position requires development and maintenance of a cooperative working relationship with the Department Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine and departments that directly or indirectly influence the patients of the sleep center. This position requires the proactive effort of recruiting and filling professional vacancies ensuring the continued operation of the Sleep Disorders Center diagnostic services. Candidates must be experienced, certified polysomnography technicians. Provides high quality technical diagnostic services appropriate to age of patient which contributes to positive patient outcome, and educates patients and families in a manner to assure understanding. The position requires high quality technical expertise for testing and maintaining integrity of equipment, troubleshooting issues, and addressing sleep study challenges . This leader ensures the continuous delivery of high quality patient care by consistently seeking new knowledge and application of skills obtained. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Polysomnography equipment as well as experience with MS Windows, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and an Electronic Medical Record.

Preferred Education/Experience
5 years of clinical experience as a polysomnography tech with 1-2 years as a lead tech or higher preferred.
