Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.

This position requires use of a computer workstation, completion of tasks with repetitive motions, and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds. This position may require personnel to wear personal protective equipment to reduce risk of exposure to work-related hazards (e.g. handling of hazardous medications).

Primarily Monday through Friday; 8:00am to 4:00pm.

This position will provide a variety of pharmacy services including obtaining prior authorizations, enrolling patients’ in financial support programs, and coordinating first time dispenses and refills for oncology medications prescribed within UK HealthCare. You will work closely with nurses, physicians, and UK Specialty Pharmacy staff to improve access to medications for patients seen in the Markey Cancer Center.

Associate or bachelor’s degree and hospital and/or retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.
