Physical Requirements

This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Also involves some exposure to risk of injury from using job-related equipment; and exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, and bloodborne or airborne pathogens.

Shift

Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Job Summary

The Associate Director of Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Services is responsible for setting and executing the vision for clinical pharmacy services in the ambulatory setting. This position will establish standards for ambulatory pharmacist clinic visits, schedules, documentation, billing, and credentialing and privileging. This position will work with Pharmacy and physician leadership to implement and expand clinical ambulatory pharmacy services across UK HealthCare. Successful candidates will be able to navigate a complex, matrix organization and have strong communication and project management skills.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Clinical therapeutics knowledge; strong clinical and leadership skills; knowledge of inpatient drug distribution and dispensing; ability to prioritize; excellent communication skills; team mentality; desire to teach; and motivation are required to excel in this position.

Preferred Education/Experience

PharmD and 5 years of pharmacy experience or PharmD with PGY2 in Health System Pharmacy Administration, and Master’s degree in business and/or healthcare administration preferred.
