Physical Requirements

May include standing for greater than 5 hours at a time and possibly walking several miles per day. May require the ability to reach items above shoulder level and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Shift

Primarily Mon Fri; 7:30a 4:00p; some weekend and holiday requirement per department need.

Job Summary

This position acts on the behalf of the Pharmacy Director for Oncology and Pediatric Pharmacy and maintains continuity of functions and provides full administrative support. This position manages Pediatric pharmacy based clinical and drug distribution services in order to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, accountability for staff, services provided and level of performance within assigned areas, and accountable for managing operations within budget. Work requires strong clinical skills, detailed knowledge of Enterprise processes/operations, and the application and interpretation of Federal and Commonwealth statutes, laws and regulations. In addition, work requires understanding and application of professional practice, organizational and departmental policies, standards and procedures.

Strong clinical skills; ability to prioritize; excellent communication skills; knowledge of inpatient and outpatient transition of care processes; team mentality; desire to teach; and motivation are required to excel in this position.

Preferred Education/Experience

Pharm D preferred; PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency or equivalent clinical experience. Pediatric hospital Pharmacy Operations and Sterile Compounding Experience preferred.
