Required License/Registration/Certification
Certified Pharmacy Technician (by PTCB or ExCPhT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
Physical Requirements
The physical requirements for this position may include standing, sitting, bending, or walking for greater than five hours at a time and possibly walking several miles per day, as well as the ability to reach items above shoulder-level and lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.
Shift
Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; some nights, weekends, and/or holidays may be required in order to meet departmental needs.
Job Summary
This Pharmacy Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring Standards of Practice in all Retail & Community Pharmacy/DME areas; Pharmacy Accreditation and Contractual Compliance; Oversight of UK Retail & Community Pharmacy/DME Workflow Processes and Operations; Personnel training within all Retail & Community Pharmacy/DME areas and monitoring of staff competency.

This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skills and effective written and verbal communication abilities; planning and organization skills and a high regard for attention to detail; the ability to solve routine problems and manage resources; and a proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The ability to provide excellent customer service is essential to the success of the individual in this position.

Preferred Education/Experience
Associate or bachelor’s degree and hospital and/or retail pharmacy technician experience preferred. Previous work with patient assistance program is highly preferred.
