Job Summary
The Department of Chemistry (https://chem.as.uky.edu/) in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY invites applications for temporary part-time instructors for the Fall 2022 semester to begin August 1. This position is temporary but instructors may be eligible for rehire as a part-time instructor in a future semester. Applicants must have obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry (or a related field) or have an M.S. in Chemistry (or a related field) with prior teaching experience. A commitment to teaching excellence is essential. Duties include teaching a general chemistry course in a large classroom setting and related activities such as helping students during office hours, writing exam questions, and proctoring exams on Thursday evenings.
