Job Summary | The College of Fine Arts seeks applicants for part-time faculty instructors to teach online or in the classroom for the Department of Arts Administration. College teaching and Course Management System experience is preferred. The Department of Arts Administration at the University of Kentucky is the first stand-alone department in the field in the United States. The department currently offers a BA in Arts Administration, a completely online MA in Arts Administration, an online graduate certificate in Fundraising and Development, and online professional development courses. Pending final approval, the department will launch a completely online Ph.D. in Arts Administration in 2020-21. The undergraduate program, founded in 1987, is the oldest BA in Arts Administration nationwide. Annually, there are approximately 130 students enrolled in the degree program. The graduate program, launched in 2013, was the first completely online MA in Arts Administration at a state institution. The MA is designed for working professionals and operates year-round. On average, the MA program has 65 enrolled students. Graduate courses are taught online exclusively. The department values innovation in pedagogical models; the advancement of research in the field of Arts Administration; and collaboration among faculty, students, staff, and community.
