Job Summary
The Oral History Center Transcript Editor is responsible for a variety of work at the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History in the Special Collections Division. Specific duties for each job will depend on current projects, initiatives, and priorities and may include:
 
 - Editing and authenticating oral history transcripts, creating verbatim representations of interview audio/video focusing on accuracy, formatting, spelling, punctuation, and capitalization in accordance with the Nunn Center’s transcript style guide. At times transcripts will be machine generated and will require significant edits.
 
 - Data entry.
 
 - Participating in the archival collection inventory process.
 
 - Other duties as assigned.
 


Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Student must have good attention to detail, editing skills, and the ability to follow department procedures and policies. Must be able to work without close supervision. Must be able to work with materials in different formats. Student must maintain a regular work schedule.

Preferred Education/Experience
Basic computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
