Job Description

Teva is search for a Labelling / Packaging Operator to join our team in Irvine!


Hours for this role are Monday Friday 2pm 10:30pm plus occasional OT as required


The Operator I Sets up, maintains, and operates equipment in proper functioning order on assigned lines per SOPs, including performing the change-over of equipment as required.


You will:

  • Learn / Exhibit a firm operational knowledge of at least 2 of the main pieces of equipment in the Packaging Department: I.E. Newman Labelers, Eisai Inspection Machines, MAB and Cartoners.
  • Demonstrate high competence in the setup and the functionality of vision systems, thermal printers, and secondary packaging equipment.
  • Exhibit trouble-shooting skills at a moderate level. Monitor the product labeling operation for obvious labeling defects and adjust equipment if necessary.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the run of the lot, including performance of Quality Challenges.
  • Assist the Leads daily with completing the reconciliation of a batch record and equipment logbooks.
  • Maintain communication between Leads, shifts, and Quality Assurance personnel.
  • Ensure production levels are maintained. Maintain communication between Line Leads if equipment problems arise.
  • Assist Maintenance, Engineering, and Validation Departments with equipment setup, changer-overs, and operation of new equipment and new change parts when needed.
  • Work in other areas of Packaging as required (i.e. hand packing, kit assembly).
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment while complying with all cGMPs and SOPs.
  • High School education or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 1 year related production experience required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills required. Ability to write/maintain proper documentation required.
  • Leadership ability a plus.
  • Firm knowledge of SOPs and cGMPs preferred
  • High competence in mechanical skills required.
  • 1 year previous pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and inventory control systems preferred.
