Provide general ERP system technical support to ensure data integrity of production systems. This position must work closely with Production Managers, Supply Chain, and the Logistics Team to ensure that system transactions are completed and ensure accuracy of operations for Quality and Accounting purposes. Covers needs for ERP system data entries and transactions for the production Managers (ON SHIFT). Material movement of raw materials in plant. Use computer systems to document and record transactions. Inventory accuracy is key, any physical material movement must be mirrored in system. All position functions may be performed in both ambient and refrigerated areas. Responsible for serving internal customers for staging of materials. Insures any paperwork corrections are identified and corrected same shift.


  • Comply with all of Balchem's policies and procedures
  • Adhere and comply with all safety policies including reporting any unsafe acts or near misses
  • Help promote and support company health and safety policy practices and procedures
  • Safely and properly operate a forklift
  • Assure adherence to all elements of SQF systems and policies
  • Performs tasks safely and comply with GMP policies at all times
  • Ensure efficient compliance with production schedule by:
    • Being able to read and understand schedule and batch production records,
    • Being able to anticipate and fulfill raw material needs of Makers,
    • Enabling accurate and timely closure of production jobs.
  • Material handling of all material used at the facility
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Receive or transfer material as needed
  • Label and store all material in correct storage locations
  • Cycle Count plant store locations.
  • Learn all aspects of the ERP system including shipping, receiving, and transfers
  • Support other production areas with tasks as required
  • Understands and maintains the HAACP program in detail
  • Correctly follow all plant and warehouse cleaning procedures as described in the SOP
  • Know and control the location of all raw materials finished goods and packaging within the plant warehouse.
  • Troubleshoot issues with data integrity that prevent completion of transactions or lead to inaccuracies in inventory, quality, customer service or other business disciplines
  • Issues, monitors, and files documents along with related product documentation as needed for each transaction
  • Responsible for maintaining archives of batch documents and records
  • Maintain records including but not limited to computer, sanitation, shipping, and receiving
  • Communication skills required between team members, other shifts and other departments
  • Work collaboratively as a member of a team
  • Attend all company mandated training sessions-which include Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Etc
  • Other duties as assigned within the Plant and Warehouse


  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • Basic math, reading and record keeping skills required.
  • Ability to maneuver minimum of 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums with proper material handling equipment.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds unassisted.
  • Valid driver's license for forklift license.
  • One-year experience in computerized warehouse and real-time data collection.
  • Ability to follow written and flow-charted instructions.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office product
  • Proficient in Excel and inventory ERP systems
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to cope well under deadlines and work flexibly as needed to meet the schedule

Balchem requires anyone working in the plant or entering the warehouse to adhere to the personal protective equipment policies and procedures. All personal protective equipment furnished must be worn by all employees when required or needed to perform proper and safe working conditions.

Individual may rarely be exposed to wet or humid conditions, working near moving mechanical parts, work in extreme heat (non-weather), work in high noise levels and vibration. Individual may also be periodically working in high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme cold (non-weather).
