**Job Description Summary**

What you would DO:

As an Operation Support Team Leader you will own and manage these operation functions; Procurement & Logistics, Project Controller, Project Planning, Commissioning and Department assistance. Today team includes 7 persons and you will be their line manager. You will be responsible for ensuring the team activities for project deliveries and continuously develop the team and their work practices. You will report the Operation Leader and role will include project operation and management activities to support our project portfolio. This position is in Tampere, Finland and requires on-site presence with ability to work partially remote (Hybrid working model).

What we DO:

Grid Solutions delivers reactive power compensators such as Static Synchronous Compensators (STATCOM) and Static Var Compensators (SVC), on which we are the global Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Finland. These systems are used to control power system voltage and reactive power flow as well as to improve the power system stability and transmission system efficiency. Via our projects, you truly have a chance to make the world a better place by helping our global customers in saving vital energy and securing stable electricity distribution.

**Job Description**

**Roles and Responsibilities**

+ Schedule the teams workload and define priorities together with Operation Leader.

+ Perform people reviews.

+ Manage people development through knowledge sharing and mentoring and training plan.

+ Forecast the upcoming work for the team.

+ Effectively communicate issues throughout the organization; Use contemporary communication tools to share across Operations and business silos.

+ Ensure Operation processes and best practice is followed and correct auditable documentation is created.

+ Collate and report teams KPIs.

+ Ensure safe, compliant and successful execution of all Operation obligation.

+ Lead team in solving challenging issues.

+ Lead the capture, Implementation and validation of Operation requirements.

+ Ensure work is aligned with against customer specification at Operation stage (example: Clause by Clause, Risk analysis).

+ Proactive Integration interaction with other Operation departments including Engineering and Sales.

+ Ability to, where required, make independent decisions.

+ Foster an environment of knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team.

+ Build and maintain effective partnerships with internal stakeholders.

+ Understand and apply Lean and process improvement methodologies to daily work.

+ Continuously drive improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

+ In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.

+ In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

+ Participate in process & quality improvement and business initiatives and provide feedback on lessons learned to other departments.

**Required Qualifications** **:**

+ Bachelor's or Masters degree from an accredited university

+ +5 years of work experience in project management on industrial investment projects

+ Demonstrative knowledge of project management processes and procedure

+ Strong oral and written communication skills

+ Able to work to deadlines with high quality

+ Prior experience of leading a project team or a functional team are seen as benefit

+ Experience with SVC/Statcom or similar Power Electronic systems are seeing as benefit

+ Fluency in English is mandatory

+ Fluency in Finish seen as benefit (not mandatory)

**Desired Characteristics:**

The candidate will probably be educated to degree level in electrical engineering or project management and have a good amount of experience in Power Electronics or International Business with complex projects. However, this is not as important as a proven track record and evidence that you have the experience and abilities to perform the role. All above we expect you to be a self-starter with high level of flexibility, resilience and self-learning attitude. As a person, you are a solid team-player with good prioritizing, communication and interpersonal skills.
