**Job Description Summary**

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and implement strategic advocacy for a care area and product group within the PDx portfolio. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and execute advocacy strategies that support the commercial business units.

Oncology is a priority care area for us where we see significant growth potential for the use of Molecular Imaging to enable precision oncology. We have a foundation of established proprietary products and now plan to build on this significantly with the development and launch of a growing innovative pipeline of products that will enable better diagnostic decisions and clinical outcomes in oncology. We are also partnering with Pharma Companies and the research community to create companion diagnostic solutions that support patient selection and monitoring through the development of immuno-oncology therapies. These new roles will be critical to ensuring the successful implementation of our strategy, expanded portfolio and the added value offerings of GE Healthcare.

Our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDx products support three patients every second around the world.

**Job Description**

**Roles and Responsibilities**

+ Work with global and regional product, marketing, and commercial teams to develop advocacy strategies and roadmaps for existing and new products based on business objectives

+ Build strategies and implementation plans for partnership with advocacy groups (patient advocacy groups, medical societies, trade associations, and others) to support the achievement of reimbursement, policy, pricing, and payment for PDx portfolio and care area priorities.

+ Lead and co-ordinate cross-functional teams and program delivery, collaborating horizontally to deliver against agreed advocacy roadmaps

+ Develop and deliver compliant comprehensive key-opinion-leader (KOL) strategies built upon collaboration with key existing and other US Customers, including influencers of adoption, reimbursement, and clinical practice.

+ Establish and maintain close contacts and collaboration with external clinical experts (directly with and through medical affairs and sales organizations) to build a network of external advisers and develop partnership opportunities and collaboration initiatives that benefit clinical outcomes and education

+ Identify, track, monitor and act on pending and enacted legislation and governmental activities based on input from appropriate internal departments, business units, lobbyists and associations.

+ Keep abreast on relevant information and resources regarding industry and health care legislation

+ Communicate emerging priorities, including US policy and regulatory initiatives and key insights of HCP advocacy organizations.

+ Support efforts to remove or lower barriers to patient access to GEHC product by developing and implementing strategies directed at healthcare providers, thought leaders, payers, health plans, public agencies and patient advocacy groups

**Required Qualifications**

+ Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college

+ Minimum of 5 years experience in US healthcare, medical device or pharmaceutical sector

+ Experience in US policy and advocacy programs with deep knowledge of external stakeholder partnership programs and critical success factors

+ Ability to travel to connect with stakeholder groups

**Desired Characteristics**

+ Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs, established project management skills

+ Experience in working effectively and in partnership with Medical Societies and Patient Advocacy Groups

+ Experience in clinical therapy/diagnostic areas of oncology, neurology, or cardiology

+ Understands customer needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends
