**Job Description Summary**
To be part of the Installation Department of GE Wind Offshore. The department is responsible to define the offshore installation strategy of the wind turbine components and provides the methods, all the transport and installation tools and the manpower for GE Wind Offshore projects.
The installation department is responsible for all offshore activities from load-out on installation vessel up to completion of mechanical and electrical operations.
Supporting GEs range of projects the offshore construction manager will play a strategic role in supporting the installation engineering interface with the installation vessel contractor and secondly to follow the turbine installation scope offshore. This candidate will provide operational inputs into the design and methods required to execute GEs offshore Installation work-scope.
This candidate is responsible for the overall construction of GEs wind turbine generators, in line with both internal and external requirements.

**Essential Responsibilities**
**During preparation phase:**
+ Supporting in the development of GEs Installation lift plans, installation procedures and key documentation.
+ Ensure all Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are developed pro-actively and implemented into GE digital document management system Service Max
**During offshore works:**
+ Act as GEs responsible person for the offshore Installation works, supervising operations teams, covering heavy lifting, mechanical and electrical construction, and client management.
+ Validate grillage and sea-fastening integration
+ Coordinate the works of the WTG technicians to ensure contractually agreed installation performance.
+ Anticipate any roadblock the installation sequence may face and organize support from back office and project team
+ Communicate with Client Representative on and offshore
+ Review and approve Daily Progress report of the GE activities
+ Supervise wind turbine assembly activities on daily basis. Supervising tower fastener tensioning, Mech/Elec activities, Heavy Lifting and all vessel-based preparation activities.
+ Supports in the development of crew rotation plans and overall manning for operations.
+ Promote GE EHS culture during operations
**Qualifications/Requirements**
+ University degree preferred, however HNC/ONC or NVQ level candidates shall also be considered if accompanied with substantial onshore/offshore wind turbine construction experience.
**Eligibility Requirements**
+ Experienced in Wind Turbine Construction
+ Experienced in supervision of heavy lift activities
+ Good knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering, with ability in supervising technical teams.
+ Excellent communication skills are essential, the candidate shall be able to relay all method statements and operational requirements to the wider teams, holding safety briefs and toolbox talks accordingly.
+ Fluent in English both spoken and written
+ Good soft-skills, personality management
+ Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
