POSITION SUMMARY
- Interventional Radiology Nurse Practitioner
- The interventional radiology practitioner functions as an integral part of the interventional radiology (IR) team by assisting in direct patient care and procedures under the supervision of the attending interventional radiologist. Under radiology physician direction, the practitioner provides inpatient and outpatient clinical and surgical services including history and physicals, assisting with procedures, consultations and patient counseling.
- Diagnostic Radiology Nurse Practitioner
- The diagnostic radiology practitioner functions as an integral part of the diagnostic radiology team by assisting in direct patient care and procedures under the supervision of the attending diagnostic and interventional radiologist. Under radiology physician direction, the practitioner provides inpatient and outpatient clinical and surgical services including history and physicals, assisting with procedures, consultations and patient counseling.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
  - Current ND Board Nurse Practitioner License, required.
  - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training, with certification every two (2) years, preferred.
  - ACLS certification, with certification every two (2) years, preferred.
- Educational Requirements
  - Education as needed to obtain and keep current ND Nurse Practitioner license.
  - Official diploma or transcript from the school/university from where Degree was received.
- Experience Requirements
  - Extensive knowledge of established medical principles and practices consistent with a Nurse Practitioner scope of care, required.
  - Experience in cardiology, preferred.
  - CPT coding knowledge, preferred.
