Physical Requirements | | The essential functions for this position include the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis and 25-50 pounds frequently; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases, hazards of radiation, and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments |
Shift | 7am til 730pm every Saturday and Sunday as part of the Weekend Premium program. |
Job Summary | Nurse Coordinator will provide the necessary guidance, coaching, education and expertise to nursing staff in Perioperative Services and will function as Control Desk Coordinator. Focus is on this specific area so that there will be better recognition and response to patient care issues, improved quality of care and opportunity for development of critical thinking skills and global perspective within perioperative services and beyond. Highly responsible for patient flow throughout the intraoperative experience and beyond. The University of Kentucky considers the health, safety and well-being of our entire community to be a top priority.
