WRAL News is seeking an engaging, experienced Multimedia Journalist who is focused on covering Raleigh city government, neighborhood issues, development and growth.This individualwill want to dive into the community they'll be covering, get toknow local leaders andunderstand what matters to people in North Carolina's capital city.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in digging through agendas, connecting with sources and breaking news on both television and digital platforms.This individual must generate beat-centeredstory ideas daily; conduct compelling interviews; and creatively produce television reports in a clear, imaginative manner. The individual must have strong writing abilities, solid news judgment and a strong sense of visual storytelling. This person must be social media savvy and utilize all platforms to gather information and generate audience attention. Requirements include at least three years of previous experience reporting in local television news and a four-year college degree.
