Job Description

The Senior Manager Warehouse position is responsible for all activity at the remote distribution facility. This person ensures the timely receipt of finished goods and or/shipments of products to the Teva US national distribution site. Directly manages up to potentially 15 direct reports. Strategically manages the operation in compliance with the company policies and procedures. This incumbent assists  with planning; organizing and operational changes that produce cost savings initiatives and process efficiencies.

  • Manages warehousing operations supporting production across three shifts per week including weekend.
  • Conducts performance evaluation, provides coaching, disciplinary action, problem resolution & work assignment delegation for direct reports
  • Addresses issues with impact on culture, morale, & team
  • Prepare annual budget for warehouse
  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with companys policies & vision:
  • Setup, layout & ensure efficient space utilization
  • Ensure proper storage of items such as temperature or safety concerns
  • Oversite of equipment and movement in warehouse
  • Maintaining awareness & knowledge of condition equipment
  • Maintaining documentation & keeping accurate records of warehouse activities
  • Manages Cycle Counting Program & responsible for problem-solving any issues per SOX policies
  • Monitor inventory for organization & locating items that are misplaced if necessary
  • Implementing & overseeing security operations
  • Implement safety procedures & standards in all warehouse operations & ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment & safety of all staff
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers & transport companies
  • Schedule, receive & handle materials into the warehouse
  • Oversee the daily operational flow of receiving, assisting with constraints & problem-solving interruptions
  • Oversee replenish of materials with regards to production schedules & staging for operations
  • Organize storage of finished products prior to shipment
  • Handle and execute shipping operations to the DC
  • Complies with federal, state, & local warehousing, material handling, & shipping requirements
  • Interface with production departments regarding inventory that is used or returned from production processes
  • Maintains professional & technical knowledge relating to the ERP system (SAP)
  • Site activity metrics & reporting
  • Writes & reviews warehouse SOPs & variance Investigations.


Bachelor's Degree in related field (preferably in Supply chain , logistics or business admin) and a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years progressively responsible related experience, perferring at least two (2) years experience at a supervisory level, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

CPIM, CFPIM, or CIRM, certification preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Proficient knowledge of cGMP, DOT and OSHA requirements

Proficiency with SAP

Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.

Ability to operate forklift effectively.

Available to work extended hours.

Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.

Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives

Leadership skills and ability to manage staff

Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills

Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases

Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal prefer direct experience interfacing with the FDA.

Outstanding organizational and multitasking

Strong decision making and problem solving skills

Strong knowledge of warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

There are extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, pushing and pulling, stooping and crouching climbing and walking, vision to monitor, occasional lifting of equipment or materials weighing up to 50-70 pounds.
