Mental Health Associates function as a member of the Inpatient treatment team providing short-term therapeutic treatment in a 57 bed acute-care hospital that serves all ages.

Full-time 8-hour shifts available; includes every other weekend and some holidays. 32-40 hrs a week.

*Days: 7AM-3:30PM

*Evenings: 3PM-11:30PM

*Overnights: 11PM-7:30AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with direct patient care such as checking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc).
• Facilitate patient involvement with the prescribed therapeutic activities.
• Monitor unit safety.
• Running groups and activities.
• Assist with activities of daily living when needed (bathing, toileting, feeding).
• Respond to crises that may arise while utilizing appropriate verbal deescalation and/or physical restraint techniques.

Qualifications:

• High school degree required with minimum 1 year of experience in mental health or residential (Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or Human Services field preferred - no minimum experienced required with bachelor's degree).
• CNA, EMT, or other medical experience will be considered.
• Must be able to perform physical duties such as assisting with lifting and physical restraints.
• Must pass training course on proper use of restraints.

Starting pay $12.80-$15.83 depending on experience and education
Evening, Overnight, and Weekend shifts pay a shift differential of an extra $1-$2 an hour!
