Job Summary

The Medical Records Chart Coordinator is responsible for Patient Health Record management and collaboration across the enterprise and outside to meet patient, healthcare and provider needs. This position will be responsible for maintaining accuracy of the patient healthcare record through accurate scanning and assignment of provider deficiencies; responding to request for audits and release of information following all HIPAA, governmental, regulatory, enterprise and departmental policies and Joint Commission standards.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel; experience and knowledge in using Outlook, 3M, SCM, SRM, APM, AEHR, HQPM & PICIS; have high attention to detail; excellent communication skills (both written & verbal); ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment; ability to be flexible and to learn new things quickly. Medical Terminology is essential.

Preferred Education/Experience

Associates Degree preferred and/or 4 years previous electronic medical record experience in a hospital setting.
